Another theory I read is exercise helps strengthen and stimulate your cerebellum. Which is what is believed to help you switch between your task positive and default mode networks. People with ADHD struggle which being able to switch between the two modes.

You know that makes so much sense - it's how cortisol and other fight/flight hormones leave the body
