Thanks for the reminder, Rawi 🙏🏻 I’m a big advocate of self-care (especially for parents), but like you, I go through phases with it myself, especially falling in the trap of overcommitting with too many “yes”.

I only take calls now once or twice a week max, as I know they interrupt my flow and deplete me (even though I always have fun talking to people).

But also, RSD is so real… it can stop you from getting out there but also saying “yes” too much.

I love what you said to sit with the negative emotions after saying “no”; recognise them for what they are, practicing self-compassion, and eventually, with practice, they won’t be as bad 💪🏻

We know this, but well… we forget… adhd style 🫠

We should have a monthly reminder to read articles like this hehe

Thank you so much Rebecca. It means a lot. Even though my subscribers have grown it does often feel like I'm yelling into a void. Who knows if what I say means does anything for someone. Thanks letting me know I'm having some sort of impact in the world.
